A chef in America came up with the crazy idea of making some Deep-Fried Beer, and spent three years perfecting the technique!

Some people may have better things to do with their time, but I suppose that if you are dedicated enough you can find a solution to anything in time!

The 39 year-old chef, Mark Zable, said: “My wife and I were sitting at a bar looking at the appetizer menu… We saw Nachos, Wings, Chips & Salsa… Bor-ing… I said, someone should come up with Fried Beer.

“We looked at each other and new that was the next food creation we needed to develop.

“But it took a couple of years to get it right. Taking a liquid and placing it into a fryer filled with 350’ oil is a BAD idea. I would not recommend that people try this at home.”

The delicacy will make its first appearance at the Texas State Fair at a dollar each, and he thinks that they will go down a bomb with a whisky chaser!

Now, we know that this can be accomplished by heading to our favorite fancy coffee house. But can you achieve the perfect cup of espresso at home? You certainly can. Simply follow the tips below and you will be on your way.

First of all, you must use fresh espresso. It is often said that the espresso should be brewed within the first four days after it is roasted. Care must be taken that the grounds are not over roasted, meaning too dark, as this will result in a bitter taste. A light roast is sufficient enough to preserve taste and aroma.

A burr grinder should be used. And you should only grind for the serving you are preparing. It is not recommended to store espresso grinds as you will lose freshness with each passing day. There are oils inside the beans and the longer these are exposed to the environment, the chance of staleness increases.

The tamping of the espresso must be done with care. You will do this by gently pressing the tamper and at the same time tapping the filter so as to create an even distribution. In less than 30 seconds the process is complete.

Many do not realize the lengths that companies go to in order to train a barista. Brewing the perfect cup of espresso is no easy task and it can take time for a new server to learn. Don’t get frustrated if your first few attempts are not perfect! It is advisable to start with a lower cost bean so as not to waste too much money while you are learning.

Doesn’t that sound too good to be true? I will bet you are very interested to know how home brew beer can actually improve your health. Of course we are not talking about drinking a case a night or anything like that, but there is evidence that having one or two is good for you.

Let’s first start with the fact that your home brew beer contains quite a lot of vitamin B6 which comes from the grains in the recipe. Having enough B6 is important because it is instrumental in decreasing homocysteine levels which, in turn, helps decrease occurrences of heart disease.

There is also evidence strongly suggesting that people who drink beer on a regular basis have a high level of good cholesterol (HDL) which prevents blood fat from forming. These people also were shown to have increased levels of platelets which help to prevent blood clotting in the arteries.

I’m sure you have heard the old wives tale that drinking kills brain cells. In fact it seem that the opposite may be true. Swedish researchers have found that when laboratory mice had alcohol added to their diets they grew new nerve cells in their brains. At this point, no one knows what these new cells are doing but at least they are being produced.

Enjoying your daily brew will also help slow down your aging process. The hops have been shown to slow down the creation of neopterin which is a marker of the cellular immune system that indicates a possible pro-inflammatory immune status.

The most beneficial part of home brew beer could be that it helps prevent cancer. The chemical substance “Xanthohumol” is only produced in hops and beer. Xanthohumol has a wide range of biological properties and has many possible therapeutic uses including reduction in cardiovascular disease and prevention of cancer. It is being actively researched to see if it can be reproduced and help fend off prostate and colon cancer.

Is beer harmful when you drink too much? Yes, of course it is. Not the least because the alcohol content will inebriate you and impair your judgment. But, when enjoyed in moderation your prized home brew is really very good for you.

Before we started please smile with the next joke:

What does a drunk walrus have in common with a woman at a Tupperware party?
A: They are both out looking for a tight seal.

Jajaja. I am sorry, that is no so funny, lets go back to business.

If you are interested in starting a home microbrewery and concocting your own beer recipe, I would recommend not starting from scratch. Although an experienced brewer would prefer to have the freedom of choosing their own ingredients, someone who has never ventured down the road before will be better off purchasing a pre-packaged set. This guarantees that you won’t miss anything on the shopping list, and you will have quality products to start with.

The number one thing to remember in choosing a home microbrewery kit is that you want to buy a kit that includes all ingredients. This requires a bit of research so that you are aware of the necessary materials. There are several online resources detailing the process and materials for brewing beer at home, and these will help you make a checklist of items that should be included in your kit.

Also, when choosing your kit, make sure you know what kind of beer you want to brew. There are different kits for different lagers or ales, whether pale ales, ports, dark brews, brown ales, or whatever else may suit your taste buds. Also, determine the amount of ingredients included in the home microbrewery kit; most recipes are geared for five gallon batches, so make sure that, if the kit you purchase contains ingredients for smaller batches, you can either reduce the recipe or purchase more than one kit.

When buying online, try to find a reputable source. There are plenty of established companies to purchase a home microbrewery kit from, so don’t try to save a buck or two by getting your kit from a little known or unknown source. Compare prices before making a purchase. Don’t overpay. With all the available sources for materials, you should seek out the best deal. Be prepared – this could take a little time.

The utensils you use with your kit don’t have to be anything special, either. Although with modern advances, there are new and improved methods to home brewing, the standard five gallon bucket with a covering cloth that were used in the days of prohibition will work just as well. If you aren’t sure you wish to continue this hobby in the future and simply want to give it a go, there is no need to purchase an expensive airlock. So, give it a go, and enjoy your favorite beer without ever leaving your house!

Certainly beer is not a new commodity around the world. The process of brewing beer has been around for thousands of years, ever since early people learned to make it on a small scale. While you might be thinking that home brew beer doesn’t sound as easy as purchasing beer from the convenience store, it really is very easy and has plenty of other benefits.

When setting up a home brewery to make your own beer, you are really taking the process of producing beer out of the commercial brewery and back to your home. The whole process is much less hassle than you think. This is, in large part, because of the ease of obtaining all the correct materials for starting your home brew beer experience online.

Starting off with brewing beer it is certainly best to purchase on the many available brewing kits to get you started. There are many online beer companies that offer these brew kits very inexpensively. They will come complete with all the parts and equipment, including the ingredients, needed to get your first batch going.

The best benefit of brewing beer at home is that you are going to be able to produce beer with an abundance of different flavors. There are recipe books available that have thousands of recipes for you to choose from. Your friends will be amazed when they come over and are able to sample from a wide variety of different home brew beers, none of which is available in the store.

Another, often overlooked, benefit is that home brew beer will save you money. Most home brew beer kits come with a package to produce five or six gallons of beer. Five gallons of beer is enough for 53 12 ounce bottles, plus a taste more. Depending on how much your normal beer costs, you will probably be ahead of the game by the time you brew your second batch. After that, your only costs will be for ingredients and bottle caps. Now you will have top quality product to enjoy at pennies on the dollar.

In home brewing, just like anything else you practice, you will find that your brews get better and better over time as you learn to work with more subtle flavors and become more involved in the whole brewing process. Home brewing beer is a fun hobby to have and will give back for years.

Instead of searching the online beer sites for information about home beer making, download the eBook Brew Beer Bible found at Brew Beer Today.com.

The Brew Beer Bible is inexpensive, has a money back guarantee, and offers step by step instructions on how to always get the best tasting beer out of your home brewery.

Do you and your friends drink a case or more each weekend? Do you find yourself buying the less expensive brands other than what you really want to save some money? If this is the case then why wouldn’t you be looking for a low cost option to still get the better brews at more reasonable prices? Relax; I’m not talking about finding beer that has “fallen off the back of the truck”! I’m referring to brewing your own beer at home. Becoming a home brewer is not all that difficult, (if you can boil water, you can make beer}, and it is actually a fun and legal hobby.

You are probably thinking about what you will need to get started. My recommendation is to visit some of the online beer sites and look into the home brewing kits. All of the major retailers offer kits for the first time brewer that come with enough equipment to successfully produce beer five gallons at a time (that’s more than 50 12 oz. cans) Once you have successfully brewed your second batch you are saving money over buying your beer from the local grocery store. When you have completed your third, you will be saving even more.

Since it is not practical to drink beer out of five gallon buckets you will also need bottles to put your beer in. The most economical way is to save bottles and reuse them but they can not be the type with twist off tops! You must use bottles that use the other type of cap as it keeps air out of the beer much better. Don’t worry, new caps and a capping tool usually come with the beer kit. You should also use bottles that are brown or amber colored as they protect the beer from UV light. Clear and green bottles do not.

You will quickly discover that the fun part of brewing beer is being able to experiment with the recipes. The online beer ingredient and hardware suppliers offer hundreds of different recipes and each one can be “tweaked” just a bit to make it unique to you alone. Very soon you will be able to brew ales, lagers, light beer or dark beer. The possibilities are almost endless.

If you have been doing research about beer brewing kits and checking out the online beer sites you have probably noticed that most of the starter beer making kits supply you with food grade plastic brewing containers. Then, when you go to the store all the beer is in either glass or aluminum. Does that mean that the beer kits are wrong and we should not use the plastic bottles?

Well, not really. The first thing you should look at it is how long you are going to be storing your beer. If you plan is to store your beer outside of individual bottle for a long period of time then glass is better than plastic. The reason for this is that air is the enemy of beer for a number of reason and you want to keep air out of the beer during the storing process and glass is better than plastic for longer term storage. This is how glass is better than plastic for storage. Over time, plastic is more likely to let air get into your brew.

But this takes a great deal of time and most of us will have finished off our brew long before there is any real risk of contamination. Just be sure that the seal is tight and you won’t have any problems.

On the other hand, the problem with glass is that you risk it breaking if it isn’t handled properly. The last thing you want to happen is for your prized brew to end up in puddles on the floor because your glass bottle shattered!

Regardless whether you use glass or plastic, it is absolutely necessary to make sure that your container has been thoroughly cleaned and properly sanitized. If you are not careful in the cleaning process it is possible to leave bacteria on the surfaces and they will certainly destroy your batch. So take extra care that all your brewing equipment is clean and sanitized at all times.

Think about your home brewery beer making activities like you do when making a really good meal.

When you are trying to make the best meal possible you would not use ingredients of lesser quality. For the very same reason it is important not to use less than highest grade ingredients in your home brew beer. When you make sure that all the ingredients you are using are the best they can be, you will find that you will produce a brew to be proud of.

Fortunately, looking for the proper ingredients for your home brew supplies is not nearly as hard as you might think. The internet is a great resource to start looking all the home brewing supplies you need. You will find hundreds of online beer websites that sell everything from the basic required beer brewing supplies and ingredients all the way up to the most complex and exotic.

Also be sure to make a habit of looking at message boards and blogs to see what other brewers think of the ingredients you want to use. These people are speaking with the voice of experience and have nothing to gain by steering you in the wrong direction so their advice is almost always top notch.

When you start talking with other brewers you will find new recipes and new brewing methods that you probably have never thought of. This sharing of information is one of the most fun things about producing home brew beer. Being able to take advantage of everyone else’s experiences is a great help in making your home beer brewing experience all that much better.

For example, when I was looking for a specific ingredient I ran across a recipe for a Brown Ale posted by another home brewer that required just three weeks to be ready. Although my preference is to let my beer sit or 4-5 weeks, depending on the recipe, I tried his recipe and it worked beautifully. Now I have another “favorite” recipe to savor.

I am quite sure that you will be able to find your home brew supplies with very little difficulty.

But finding the time to make and enjoy all the wonderful brewing recipes out there is another question entirely!

Instead of searching the online beer sites endlessly for information about home beer making, simply download the ebook Brew Beer Bible found at Brew Beer Today.com.

It’s that time of year again! St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner, March 17th actually. This year that falls on a Wednesday so you should probably decide pretty quickly if you’re going to celebrate the “wearing of the green” on the 13th or the 20th. Regardless, you certainly don’t have to be Irish to enjoy the festivities. St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated around the world in cities big and small with music, parades, and a host of people wearing all sorts of green stuff and eating and drinking in honor of the Irish. And none of the parties are ever complete without the famous green brew!

Even though its still March, it is almost like St. Patrick’s Day kicks off the spring season of festivities, outdoor picnics, and ball games. St. Pat’s day sets the stage for Memorial Day, 4th of July and a whole lot of summer fun. Getting together with friends, whether you are raising your glass to the “Luck of the Irish,” enjoying a baseball game or relaxing after cutting the grass it is always better when you have a cool refreshing beer or ale to enjoy.

Kick this spring and summer season off now by learning how to brew your own beer, and then follow the steps to brew beer in less than an hour’s worth of work. It’s a fun hobby, you don’t need a lot of brew equipment, and you can start now and make the perfect green brew for St. Patrick’s Day!

Once you have made and bottled your first batch you will soon be sharing a wonderful hobby with family and friends as well as a delicious beverage. The choices are endless! Some beers might take longer to brew, and you might even change around the ingredients from one batch to the next but you will never get bored!

If you are starting to explore the world of brewing beer at home I am sure you have many questions, not the least of which is how much equipment does it take to set up a home brewery and how costly is it? Just like most things, when you home brew beer you can start very inexpensively and with just a basic equipment list. Or, if you prefer, you can spend quite a bit more, load up on a lot more equipment and devote a lot of space to your hobby. Both will provide you with very excellent beer so, really, the choice is yours alone.

So lets make an assumption that you are going to start small and work your way up. What type of beer brewing supplies are you going to need and where can you purchase all these items? Don’t be intimidated, there are hundreds of retailers online who sell beer making kits and other supplies to the home brewer. Going back to our assumption that you are going to want to start small, this is a basic equipment list needed to successfully brew beer in your home. I should also point out that this equipment list is typical of beer kits sold online by retailers for less than a hundred dollars.

* Bottling bucket
* Fermenter with lid
* airlock
* bottle capping tool
* bottle caps
* racking tube
* siphon tube
* bottle brush
* thermometer
* hydrometer
* equipment cleaner
* instructions for use
* equipment cleaner

The only things you need to add to this list is the ingredients themselves and the bottles to put the beer in once it is done. You can usually purchase the bottles from the same retailers that sell the beer making kits and other beer brewing supplies. But be aware that bottles are heavy and will cost some to ship so plan on reusing them several times. This wont be a problem if you take time to thoroughly clean and sterilize them after each use.

The last thing you are going to need is the ingredients to put into your beer kit! Again the retailers carry a wide assortment of recipes with the ingredients pre-measured and almost guaranteed to produce a quality batch with each brew!

A good way to learn about home brewing is by reading Our eBook Home Beer Brewing Secrets. We clearly explains how to get a successful brew each and every time and get the most enjoyment out of your home brewing experience. It is inexpensive, has a money back guarantee, and is a super resource for brewing beer at home.
